The African Judges and Jurists Forum (AJJF) is pleased to announce the election of Mr. Clement Mavungu to the position of Treasurer of the AJJF Board.
Mr. Mavungu, a seasoned legal professional with experience in financial management and governance, will oversee the Forum’s financial stewardship, ensuring transparency, accountability and sustainability in the management of AJJF’s resources. His election reflects the Forum’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and promoting sound governance practices across Africa.
Announcing the development, AJJF Secretary General, Martin Masiga said: “we welcome Mr. Clement Mavungu to the Treasurer’s role. His expertise and dedication will be invaluable in enhancing AJJF’s financial integrity and supporting our mission to advance justice and the rule of law on the continent.”
Congratulating Mr. Mavungu upon his election, the Chair of AJJF, Justice Dingake said that AJJF looks forward to his leadership in safeguarding the Forum’s financial systems while contributing to its broader objectives of judicial independence and the rule of law.
A national of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Mr. Mavungu, currently serves as the Legal Counsel of the Pan African Parliament (PAP). Mr Mavungu is an international lawyer with a Master of Laws degree from the University of Pretoria.
